{"id":1840,"date":"2025-08-11T21:31:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-11T20:31:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/industrialheritageireland.info\/Blog\/?p=1840"},"modified":"2025-11-14T22:13:01","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T22:13:01","slug":"woodbrook-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/industrialheritageireland.info\/Blog\/index.php\/2025\/08\/11\/woodbrook-station\/","title":{"rendered":"Woodbrook Station"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The latest railway station in Ireland has opened. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.industrialheritageireland.info\/Gazetteer\/Locations\/Railways\/Stations\/Dublin\/Woodbrook.html\">Woodbrook Station<\/a> on the DART line, between Bray and Shankill, opened on 10th August 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I managed to get out there on the opening day and also nabbed a free ice cream cone (courtesy of Irish Rail or the developer of the adjacent residential development, I don&#8217;t know).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I also spotted Irish Rail&#8217;s Barry Kenny and CEO Jim Meade in conversation on the concourse outside the station. I did think of saying hello, but I don&#8217;t think either gentleman would have wanted their Sunday ruined by having one of their biggest critics identify himself.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The latest railway station in Ireland has opened.
