{"id":922,"date":"2023-01-08T21:45:15","date_gmt":"2023-01-08T21:45:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/industrialheritageireland.info\/Blog\/?p=922"},"modified":"2023-01-08T21:45:18","modified_gmt":"2023-01-08T21:45:18","slug":"tullamore-college-restoring-a-bnm-wagonmaster-locomotive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/industrialheritageireland.info\/Blog\/index.php\/2023\/01\/08\/tullamore-college-restoring-a-bnm-wagonmaster-locomotive\/","title":{"rendered":"Tullamore College restoring a BNM Wagonmaster locomotive"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I don&#8217;t normally comment on trains on this site, however, there is always an exception to the rule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Per the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.offalyexpress.ie\/news\/tullamore-tribune\/1004752\/bord-na-mona-wagonmaster-lm305-bring-brought-back-to-life-by-offaly-students.html\">Offaly Express<\/a>, a group of Transition Year students in Tullamore College are restoring a former Bord na Mona Wagonmaster locomotive and are seeking sponsorship for a number of items to enable them to do this, as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>To borrow a four-wheel trailer to move the bonnet and cab of the Wagonmaster in and out of our shed as we work on it.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>A sponsorship or donation of 3M stripping discs so that we can remove the rust and old paint from our Wagonmaster. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>A  sponsorship or donation of red oxide metal primer.
