Following on from Irish Railways in Colour, Irish Railways in Colour A Second Glance came about as the amount of colour photographs made available to the author in the period under review exceeded that required for one book. The book starts with a revised map of the railway system in 1947 (correcting that in Irish Railways in Colour which had a couple of omissions). As ever, locomotives are the order of the day. However, photos of an IH interest include: * Carlisle Pier Station * Loop Line Viaduct * Bray Head * Harcourt Street * Macmine Junction * Cork City Railway * Stacumny with adjacent limekiln (partially demolished as part of the Kildare Route Project) * Aerial view of Adelaide Depot * Clones * Foyle Road Station, Derry * Warrenpoint * Newry Edward Street * Kilkee * Miltown Malbay * Letterkenny (both stations side by side)
