Railways in Ulster is a look at the Railways in Ulster through photographs. The introduction sets out the socio-economic situation in Ireland (and Ulster in particular) into which railways fitted. The number of photos of IH interest is very high, with most being of a landscape/topographical nature, rather than locomotives or rolling stock. Each photo is given a brief explanation and a reference number of the photo in the collection that it was taken from. Interesting photos include: * Great Victoria Street marshalling yard * Portadown Station (the adjacent photo is of Monaghan Station - the former is demolished, its near twin in Monaghan survives) * Albert Basin, Newry * Construction of the Keady Viaduct * BNCR Inspection car, complete with worthies * BNCR Inspection bike, complete with inspector and lackies * Construction of the railway bridge at Stranorlar
