Signalman's Memories is a compilation of selected articles written by the author and initially published in the Tipperary Star. Those selected for republication have been edited to correct any mistakes in the original text. The book is heavily focused on railway staff and relations with others and would serve a useful role in geneaology research. The book is also not shy on the facts of the railways in the Thurles Area and covers matters as diverse as the Thurles Beet Factory (rail served), entries in the railway company minute books and the arrest of William Smith O'Brien - an Irish Patriot involved in the unsuccessful 1848 Rising. The author has uncovered many facts about the railway that I was unaware of and added to my knowledge in the process.
