This book is the company history of the Ballycastle Railway, a 16 mile narrow gauge line from Ballymoney to the coastal town of Ballycastle.
The book sets out the background to Ballycastle, leading to the proposal for a railway to serve the town. The poor economics of the railway are highlighted throughout
the history of the work, leading to the temporay closure of the line in 1924.
The line was bought by the LMS(NCC) and continued to run until closure by the UTA in July 1950.
A typographical error exists on page 18, where it was stated that the Act of incorporation was 1875. 1878 was the year of incorporation.
