There are three platforms at the present station, No.'s 1 & 2 being served by the running lines and No.3 served by a loop off the Down line. There is a canopy on each platform. The station building is on the Up platform and bears the B&NCR coat of arms. This platform is
linked to the Down platform by means of a subway. There are crossovers at each end of the station - that at the north end of the station was replaced by new one c.100m north in 2005.
The NCC war memorial was located on the Up platform for many years after the closure of York Road Station and lists the names of the 60 members of NCC staff who died in World War 1 and the 258 of those who served and returned, plus the names of the 8 members of
staff who died in World War 2. The memorial has since been relocated to York Road railway works. The signal cabin closed in 1986. There was a locomotive shed on the Up side at the Belfast end of the platform.
