Site Description

Approaching the station, there was a carriage shed and loco shed on the Up side. The former was later demolished and a shed for railcars was subsequently erected on the site. The line then crossed a level crossing to enter the station. There was a water tank and signal cabin on the Down side after which was the single platform, on which was the station building. ON the Up side was the goods area which contained sidings, store, rail weighbridge and a loading bank. The line continued on at the end of the station to Cappagh Pier, crossing another level crossing en route.
