Site Description

This was the later station in Bantry, replacing the 'Hilltop' Station. There was a single platform on the Down side here, on which was the station building. Opposite was a turntable and loco shed. The signal cabin was at the Cork end of the station on the Down side with the goods store on the same side at the terminal end of the station. Opposite the station building, the extension to Bantry Pier diverged. Only the former locomotive shed (derelict) remains today - a supermarket occupying the site.
