The modern station buildings are on the Up platform here. There is also a Down, island platform although the loop off the Down line serving the second face of the island is not normally used. The disused goods store, siding and gantry are on the Up side at the Cork end
of station. The signal cabin was on the Down platform. There is a water tank on the Down side. There was previously a second cabin, "Charleville B" also on this side, but this has been demolished. There is a radio aerial on the same side at this end of the station.
