Site Description
Approaching the station, there was a trailing siding on the Down side here. There was a further loop off this which ended before a facing siding diverged to serve a turntable. There was a level crossing at the Cork end of the station.which was spanned by multiple tracks in the form of sidings and the running line (an unusual situation!).
The branch to Kinsale diverged at the Cork end of the station and ran to the south of the Down platform, which was an island. The station building and signal cabin were on this. There was also an Up platform.
