Site Description
Reopened in 1982, this station was closed in 2016 upon the opening of the new station on the Belfast side of the level crossing. There was only a Down platform here in the 34 years of operation, that on the Up side was served by a loop and was previously demolished. There was previously a siding behind this platform. The former station building, complete with station name built into the wall is on the Down side. Now in private ownership, it has been extended unsympathetically. The signal cabin was an integral part of the station building. There is an AHB Level Crossing at the Belfast end of the station and an accommodation crossing at the Derry end.Photographs
