Site Description
Magilligan Point was the end of a short lived line from Magilligan which operated in 1855. It appears to have run for only 4 months (July to October) and was horse worked. There are suggestions that the line was also 4'8½" gauge. It was one of only two public railways in Ireland not
authorised by an Act of Parliament.
