Site Description

There are both Up and Down platforms at this suburban station, both accessed by ramps at the Bangor end of the station. There was previously a 3rd road at the station between the two lines, giving away the station's past as a terminal station. The former goods area was on the Up side. There was previously a Belfast facing bay platform on the same side. A section of the original station wall is located on this side of the line also. The line runs on an embankment overlooking the sea beyond the station. This was built to facilitate the construction of a road inland in the 1970s.
