Site Description

The station here was closed in 1917, having opened in 1901 and was located on the Dublin Connolly side of the bridge over the line at Cross Gunns. The station was accessed from Whitworth Road. All that remains is the station building above the line on the Down side, largely obscured by trees and in non-railway use. The island platform that was here was removed after closure. This was connected to the station building by a footbridge that ran from the rear door of the station building out over the line. On the Connolly Station side of the station, there is a footbridge over the line.
