Site Description

Approaching the station, the former goods area is on the Down side and is now used as a Permanent Way base. This area was previously used for Shackleton's Mill in the nearby Liffey Valley at Lucan. There is a STRAIL crossing on the line here for PW use. The former station building is also on the Down side and has been heavily altered from its original flatroof design. It is privately owned. Opposite, there is a red brick waiting shelter. The station closed in 1941.
