The former goods area, which contains a store, loading bank and site of a siding is at the Limerick end of the station on the Down side. At the Claremorris end of the station, there is an accommodation crossing. The station building is on the Down platform was was initially restored to its former physical glory by WESTRAIL and later in connection with the station's status as "Castletown" in the movie "The Quiet Man".
