Site Description
Loughrea had the usual features of a terminus - a locomotive shed, on the Down side approaching the station, with a water tower adjacent, carriage shed and goods store, all on the Down side. The single platform and station building were also on this side. On the Up side was a cattle bank. A number of the buildings, including the station building and engine shed remain in situ.Photographs
