Site Description

Poulaphoca was the terminus of the nominally independent Blessington and Poulaphoca Tramway. Approaching the station, the engine shed and goods store were on the Down side, between the road and the River Liffey. No trace of these remain - ESB access to the Poulaphoca Dam occupying the site. The former station house remains and is now a private residence. The building has been sympathetically extended since closure of the line - the yellow plastered section not being original.
