Site Description
The line from Limerick converges on the Up side here with the modern era N25 bridge passing overhead. There was originally a junction at this point, however, inter company disputes lead to the building of a separate line into Waterford for trains from Kilkenny in 1864 and the junction was removed. This line and the line from Limerick run side by side as far as Waterford West.
There was a W&LR station prior to the junction point prior to the line being extended into Waterford.
