Site Description

Little evidence of the former station remains here today, with the platforms completely overgrown. The line to Ardee, which closed to passengers in 1934 and completely in 1975, diverged on the Down side here before the triangular platform on the same side. There was also an Up platform on the mainline. The station building was on the Down platform. The station closed in 1955. At the Belfast end of the station, the line crosses the river Dee.
