Site Description
Closed in 1963, this two platformed station was a block post until 1978. The station, which was primarily for livestock traffic as the village is some miles away, remained open for this purpose until 1973. The derelict station building is on the Up side. The cattle bank and goods store siding were behind the Down platform where there was a loop. There is a water tower in this area as well. There is a loading bank, which was served by a siding, on the Up side at the Athlone end of the station. There was previously a goods store on this.Photographs
