Site Description

Ballygawley Station was to the south of the town of Ballygawley and significant road realignment in the area has left the station building beside a quiet local road instead of its former status adjacent to a main road. The station had a passing loop and staggered platforms. There was also a goods store on the Up side which was opposite the Down platform. The station building is rendered in cement - hiding the redbrick underneath. The Clogher Valley Railway Permanent Way Depot was located here.
