Site Description
There was a level crossing at the Inny Junction end of the station, beyond which, on the Down side, was the signal cabin and crossing keeper's cottage. There were Up and Down platforms here, with the station building on the Up side. The goods store and loading bank
were on the same side at the Cavan end of the station. The nearby road bridge over the Inny River was owned by the MGWR and remained in CIE ownership up until 1971. During its construction, a tramway was laid from the station to the bridge to deliver construction material.
