Site Description

Approaching the station, there was a turntable on the Up side, primarily for use by Shillelagh branch trains. The station building on the Up platform is of an interesting design. The Up mainline and the branch were serviced by this platform. The signal cabin was located on this platform also. A footbridge connected the Down platform to the Up. There was also a goods shed here between the mainline and branch - interestingly the siding to serve this was trailing to the branch and not connected to the mainline.
