The bridge at the north end of Ennis is actually two bridges. The one that most people see is the one over the current railway line. Seen here, 141
Class Locomotive No. 177 is running round its train for the return journey to Limerick. To the left of the mainline, however, the West Clare Railway
ran until closed in 1961. This passed under the road by its own bridge. The staff walkway under the bridge marks where this was.
