Looking towards Kingscourt, there is not much to comment on about this closed station. However, it is interesting to see the public telephone beside the station. Due to the roll out of the network of telegraph lines alongside the railway, it was not uncommon to find the post office beside the railway station. The public phone is beside the railway arising out of this.
