The station building at Westport is on the left here. Like that at Ballina, its design owes more to vernacular architecture than railway building due to
the railway company running out of funds long before it had reached Westport. The bridge visible in the distance is the disused Altamont Street
bridge of the Achill line that was closed in 1937.
