Looking north towards Pearse Station, Sandymount closed in 1960 as part of the wave of line and station closures of that era. It was rebuilt and
reopened in 1984 as part of the DART network. There are two platforms with the modern ticket office on the Down side (to the right). A subway
connects the Up platform to the ticket office.
