Western Railway Corridor

Saturday, March 21st, 2009

One of the many interests that I have evolved into arising out of my interest in industrial heritage is that of map making.

To this end, I have added a section to the site about the Western Rail Corridor. The first page added concerns the northern end of this - otherwise known as "The Burma Road" and the map I created is on the page.

Ulster Canal

Sunday, March 8th, 2009

My views on this subject are already known. In light of the descent into economic hell of the Republic of Ireland, I would like to suggest to the powers that be the permanent cancellation of the proposal to "restore" the Ulster Canal. It is a project that will deliver nothing but cost significantly. Cancel it now and put Colin Becker out of his misery.

Website error

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

When reviewing the site today, I noticed that the new page created for railway book reviews is not linking correctly to those book reviews that I have yet to move to Wordpress format.

As an interim measure, I have reinstated the old html book review listing and this is the page that will be accessed when clicking through from the main railways index page.
