This interesting little booklet on the now closed Shane's Castle railway is a record of the development published in 1975.
The Lord O'Neill's opening foreword gives brief details of why he set up a railway in the grounds of Shanes Castle as well as brief details of locomotives and rolling stock used. Chapters follow on a description of the railway, Shane's Castle, the O'Neill family, the Nature Reserve and a detailed history of the locomotives in use on the railway.
Sadly, this publication is now a memorial to a railway no longer in existence and as such, is a valued work.
