Donegal GAP Heritage and History Group is planning a celebration to mark the 100th anniversary of the coming of electricity to Ardara.
Per the DonegalLive website, the group are “appealing to the public for old photographs, documents, electricity bills, artefacts, family stories and memories connected with the Ardara Electric Light Company and the Owentocker scheme.”
The deadline for submitting stories, photographs, or artefacts is Friday, November 23. Those who wish to add to the events are asked to contact Donegal GAP Heritage and History Group by emailing ardaraheritagehistory@gmail.com, or phoning 087 9214206.
